About The Position

Provides comprehensive IT support for shop floor production systems, including incident management, system monitoring, technical troubleshooting, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure uninterrupted operations. Supports continuous improvement, compliance, and system reliability through documentation, maintenance activities, and active participation in projects and on-call support. This is a third shift position.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree’s in a technical field
  • 2+ years of directly related experience
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to think logically and analytically.
  • Good communication skills
  • Broad knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within IT.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support for incident management, including request handling, resolution tracking, and escalation to second-level support when required.
  • Partner with plant IT applications and development teams to plan, implement, and support systems that meet production and business requirements.
  • Monitor and maintain availability and performance of shop floor production systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Deliver hands-on shop floor support, including troubleshooting technical issues, performing diagnostics on PLC interfaces, and servicing test rig and cell computer systems.
  • Execute software updates, system maintenance, and data backup activities while ensuring compliance with approved software standards.
  • Act as a liaison between IT development, maintenance, and production teams to resolve issues, support system enhancements, and contribute to commissioning activities.
  • Maintain accurate knowledgebase documentation, record incidents and resolutions in standard systems, and support compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14000, and company procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S activities, IT projects, and process optimization efforts, while providing on-call support and traveling as required.
