About The Position

This is an internal job opportunity exclusive to current employees of Williamson County. Reporting directly to an assigned manager or director, this role is responsible for independently analyzing, defining, and creating technological solutions for multiple and/or critical software applications. The IT Analyst II serves as the primary technology owner in a designated technology area and is Level II of III in the Analyst series. The vacancy related to this posting is in the Enterprise Applications specialized assignment. The position involves performing technical analysis of applicable data to produce products and solutions to resolve technology-related business problems, assisting with developing alternative workflow solutions by analyzing and testing new or existing procedures, and analyzing and defining business processes associated with system enhancements. The role also provides advanced technical consulting and support services, works as part of a team to procure and implement major systems or upgrades, and makes technical decisions to best complete tasks and projects. Specialized duties for the Enterprise Applications assignment include debugging programs, designing software programs for new systems, developing front and back ends of websites, managing and updating scripts for reporting purposes, updating and creating user web pages, executing custom software requests, creating programs to move business objectives forward, and maintaining responsibility for analyzing, coding, testing, and documenting programs.

Requirements

  • Vocational/technical diploma or certificate and three (3) years of job-related experience; OR four (4) years of job-related experience
  • Working knowledge of specific job-related technology
  • Required Technology certification in area of responsibility
  • Required within thirty (30) days of employment: Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Five (5) years working knowledge in all areas of technology software, hardware, data, methodologies, frameworks, and infrastructure
  • Azure/Exchange Assignment: Prior work experience in integration and management of IAM systems, including Active Directory, Azure AD
  • Azure/Exchange Assignment: Strong understanding of Microsoft Entra ID and Active Directory, as well as knowledge of security protocols and standards
  • Enterprise Applications Assignment: Prior experience in Workday ERP support
