About The Position

The IT Administrator provides technical expertise to manage, support, secure, and continuously improve the organization’s enterprise IT infrastructure, including on-premises and cloud-based Windows and Linux servers, network infrastructure, cybersecurity platforms, and endpoint environments. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, performance, and compliance of servers, networks, cloud services, and mission-critical systems (workstations, mobile devices, firewalls, routers, switches, VPNs, point-to-point network connections, Microsoft 365, Azure services, cybersecurity tools, and related infrastructure) supporting business and operational requirements. The position serves as a technical resource for infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity operations, risk mitigation, systems engineering support, and end-user support across office and operational environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of Three (3+) years' of experience supporting enterprise IT infrastructure, systems administration, networking, and cybersecurity operations.
  • Strong experience administering Windows Server, Linux systems, Microsoft 365, Azure, and on-premises and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Experience supporting enterprise networking technologies including firewalls, VPNs, routing, switching, LAN/WAN connectivity, VLANs, wireless networks and point-to-point connectivity.
  • Experience with endpoint management, MDM platforms, patch management, device compliance and endpoint security solutions.
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, including access controls, MFA, system hardening, incident response, vulnerability management, and SIEM monitoring.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across infrastructure, systems, networking, and cloud environments.
  • Strong communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain/maintain a United States Security Clearance .
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
  • Ability to pass DOT/FAA-regulated drug screening requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting government, defense, aviation, or regulated environments.
  • Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender, Azure security tools, and enterprise monitoring platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, systems administration, cloud administration, and cybersecurity operations.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, Server+, Linux+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux server environments in both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructures.
  • Manage enterprise infrastructure services including Active Directory, Entra ID/Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file and print services, remote access services, system logging, monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery functions.
  • Support and maintain network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation, wireless networks, VLANs, NAT, point-to-points, secure access controls, and remote access solutions.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure environments and cloud services, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID/Azure Active Directory, access controls, identity management, licensing, security policies, virtual systems, and hybrid integrations.
  • Deploy, configure, secure, and support endpoint platforms including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, and associated endpoint management and MDM solutions.
  • Monitor, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity events, alerts, suspicious activity, access anomalies, malware incidents, and potential security threats using SIEM, endpoint detection and response (EDR), vulnerability management, antivirus, and security monitoring platforms and coordinating remediation and incident response efforts with management and relevant stakeholders.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices including MFA, least privilege access control, system hardening, patch management, vulnerability remediation, segmentation, logging, and compliance monitoring.
  • Provide Tier II/III technical support and serve as an escalation point for complex systems, network, cloud, and security-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, system configurations, network diagrams, procedures, and operational standards.
  • Assist Systems Engineering and operational teams with datalinks, mission systems, flight line operations, and specialized technical environments as assigned.
  • Coordinate system upgrades, hardware deployments, software installations, testing, maintenance windows, and lifecycle management activities.
  • Assess infrastructure, operational, and cybersecurity risks and recommend strategic improvements, mitigations, and modernization initiatives to enhance reliability, performance, and security.
  • Support organizational compliance initiatives by maintaining systems and processes aligned with customer, government, defense, aviation, and security requirements.
  • Prompt and regular attendance.
