About The Position

Torch Technologies is seeking an IT Administrator to join a team providing desktop support, systems administration, and IT operations support for the Missile Defense Agency Information Management and Software Services (AIMSS) effort. This position supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) AIMSS program, whose mission is to design and implement a Missile Defense System with multiple layers of protection.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 0+ years of relevant IT experience supporting desktop, systems, or infrastructure environments.
  • Experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. HS degree, +6 years of related experience. OR Associates degree, + 3 years of experience.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
  • Active CompTIA Security+ CE certification or equivalent DoD 8140 / DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II baseline certification.
  • Knowledge of virtualization fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Formal technical training in Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft 365 enterprise environments.
  • Experience with Intune, Active Directory, Exchange Online, and Teams administration.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting both cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

  • Administer cloud and on-premises technologies including Office 365, Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, Active Directory, OneDrive, and Intune.
  • Create, configure, and maintain virtual and physical machines in a multi-platform environment.
  • Provide advanced technical support and respond to escalated service requests.
  • Troubleshoot and remediate hardware, software, and system issues.
  • Monitor system performance, identify trends and problem areas, and ensure issues are resolved through established support processes.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to ensure services meet operational requirements for internal and external customers.
  • Support evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies and future IT initiatives.
  • Maintain complete and accurate operational support documentation.
  • Utilize ticketing systems to document, track, and report customer and system issues through resolution.
  • Communicate project status and support activities effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions.
  • Exercise sound judgment and discretion in daily operations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
