The IT Administrator installs, modifies, and makes minor repairs to personal computer hardware and software systems, and provides technical assistance and training to system users. This role involves monitoring and responding to help desk tickets, administering electronic mail, network logins, printers, and backups. The administrator will also resolve network issues, install and upgrade network software, and manage software systems utilized by the facility. Key responsibilities include planning and scheduling system upgrades, directing computer and equipment operations for cost-effectiveness and efficient utilization, estimating future equipment needs for budgeting, staying updated on industry developments, and recommending new methods to management. Additionally, the IT Administrator will coordinate the establishment of hardware and software standards and evaluate the economics of IT applications company-wide.
