ISO Lead Auditor - Houston, TX
About The Position
The ISO Lead Auditor will perform ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, and PED customer audits. This includes traveling to customer sites, reviewing their management systems, providing feedback, and writing reports that detail audit outcomes, including positive observations, opportunities for improvement, non-conformances, and certification recommendations. The role also involves performing certification committee reviews, which entail reviewing submitted audit packages to ensure compliance with HSB RS, IAS, and GACI requirements and making certification decisions. Additionally, the ISO Lead Auditor will assist in maintaining, updating, and improving the HSB RS management system.
Requirements
- High School diploma required
- 3 to 5 years’ experience with quality systems and understanding of industry terminology, practices, and controls.
- 3 to 5 years’ experience with ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. Understanding of Regulatory compliance and controls.
- 3 to 5 years experience with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems. Understanding of Regulatory compliance and controls.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing setting
- Working knowledge of ISO standards
- Excellent communications skills and technical writing
- Demonstrated interpersonal and team skills including customer interaction in person, by phone, or email in support for audit team tasks
- Ability to prioritize tasks and schedule time with minimal supervision and direction
- Customer Focused
Nice To Haves
- Associates’ degree desired in Quality Control, Mechanical Engineering, Program Management, Business Management, Contract Management or equivalent
- OHSA 30 training
- Environmental engineering degree
- Certified Safety Professional
- Sales and business management experience preferred
Responsibilities
