About The Position

KPM is hiring a Lead Maintenance Technician to manage maintenance operations for its Houston properties. The role leads a maintenance team in maintaining equipment and facilities and delivering excellent service to residents. It also involves hands-on repairs, coordinating work orders and inspections, managing supplies, working with vendors, and responding to emergencies.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of maintenance experience, including at least 1 year in a lead or supervisory role.
Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general property maintenance.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Valid Texas driver’s license and reliable transportation to property sites.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities for residential properties in Houston.
Perform hands-on maintenance, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.
Schedule and prioritize work orders to ensure timely, efficient completion.
Conduct regular inspections, identify maintenance issues, and implement preventative measures.
Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment needed for maintenance work.
Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and service needs.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
Lead and train maintenance staff to enhance team performance.
Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to minimize disruption to residents.
