About The Position

The IS Technical Specialist provides technical and consultative support on the most complex technical matters. This role involves designing and implementing customer-facing digital applications for Huntington's commercial customers, building complex technology solutions aligned with the enterprise architecture roadmap using React, Angular, and Java. The specialist will develop modern web user interfaces, build Commercial Digital web portal solutions, and develop application code and unit tests using React, Angular, Java, and REST APIs. They will also build reusable code and libraries, translate UI/UX wireframes and mockups into application code, and review code while participating in the architecture and design of Rich Internet Application solutions. Additionally, the role requires diagnosing complex production/technical problems involving performance, availability, integrations, databases, middleware, and networks, and maintaining design documentation, development standards/guidelines, onboarding procedures, and troubleshooting documentation. A key responsibility includes designing APIs to decouple UI integration with Bigtable using Kafka queues and GCP Pub/Sub, and establishing Azure and Jenkins pipelines for frontend and API code.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Minimum 5 years of application development experience
Experience with: Angular
React
Java / JavaScript
Spring Boot
Microservices
SOAP and/or REST services
GCP

Responsibilities

Design and implement customer-facing digital applications for Huntington's commercial customers.
