About The Position

The Information Services Support Analyst II provides a range of expertise in day-to-day consultation, training, trouble-shooting and problem-solving for internal computer users. Identifies and addresses complex usability problems, while monitoring and managing user accounts. The role combines hands-on IT support with security responsibilities, making it ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting technology while also focusing on protecting systems, users, and data. The successful candidate will serve as a key point of contact for employees experiencing technical issues and will assist with implementing security controls, monitoring for potential threats, maintaining endpoint security, and promoting good security practices across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Provide a customer focused support experience while installing, implementing, maintaining and upgrading information systems.
  • Provides guidance on technology and security related policy, procedures, and evidence-based support.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Support / Security Support.
  • Specialized technical expertise and experience in consultation, training, trouble-shooting and complex problem-solving for internal computer users.
  • Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, networking, and common business applications.
  • Understanding of fundamental cybersecurity concepts, including MFA, endpoint security, phishing, access control, patching, and vulnerability management.
  • Strong customer-service and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple support and security tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to protecting sensitive information.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a range of complex work to establish and maintain information systems, databases and interfaces to meet business objectives and strategies.
  • Provides expertise in computer system security requiring a “Secret” level security clearence.
  • Provides a range of expertise in day-to-day consultation, training, trouble-shooting and problem-solving for internal computer users.
  • Responds to and resolves computer problems quickly following a customer service model to ensure maximum uptime and minimum disruption to user activity.
  • Acts as a lead on Information Services projects, performing analysis and implementation of multi-function office systems.
  • Maintains scheduling and execution of recurring administrative and maintenance functions to meet the needs of and provide backup for audit evaluations.
  • Software and hardware installation.
  • Workstation deployment (Imaging).
  • Support and administer third-party applications.
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors.
  • Basic network and server update and administration.
  • Manage user onboarding, offboarding, access and equipment assignments.
  • Obtain DoD Secret level security clearance.
  • Monitor and maintain endpoint security tools, antivirus/EDR, firewalls, and other security technologies.
  • Assist with user access management, permissions, MFA, password policies, and account security.
  • Monitor security alerts and investigate potential security incidents.
  • Assist with vulnerability management, patching, and remediation activities.
  • Support security awareness initiatives, including phishing simulations and employee training.
  • Help maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Participate in incident response and assist with investigating suspected security events.
