About The Position

Operates, services, and repairs the varied components of irrigation and drainage systems and performs related tasks as required. This role involves watering greens, tees, fairways, and roughs, laying sod, grading and preparing soil bases, operating irrigation heads in dry areas, performing repairs to the irrigation system and heads, and operating dump utility carts and other light equipment for hauling materials and removing debris. The technician will also act as an Irrigation Specialist in the absence of that role and perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Waters greens, tees, fairways and roughs
• Lays sod, grades and prepares soil base
• Operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water
• Performs repairs to the irrigation system and irrigation heads as needed
• Operates dump utility carts and other light equipment in hauling materials and removing debris
• Acts as Irrigation Specialist capacity during his/her absence
• Perform other duties as required
