About The Position

Operates, services, and repairs the varied components of irrigation and drainage systems and performs related tasks as required. This role involves maintaining and repairing a complex irrigation system, including leaks in distribution lines, valves, and risers. The specialist will also repair control lines and sprinkler heads, maintain and repair master and satellite controllers, and operate and maintain the pumping station. Periodic inspections of system components are required, and the individual must be on call at all times during operation for leaks and repairs. Additionally, the role includes giving instructions on repair and replacement of broken sprinklers, pumps, risers, controllers, valves, and valve boxes, as well as installation and repair of 1" through 8" PVC water lines.

• High School Diploma or GED and/or Experience Requirement: Working knowledge of basic electricity, hydraulics, and computer related to an irrigation system, including automatic valves and controllers, and various types of pumps and pumping systems.
• Practice two years I.M.G. golf course.
• Knowledge the game of golf.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, talk or hear.
• Must be able to use hand held communications devices.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to stand for several hours.
• Required to work all Marketing Special Events and Concerts.

• Supervises Irrigation Technicians.
