About The Position

The irrigation foreman is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems as well as for managing employees, projects, and resources. The right applicant will also be responsible for the coordination of job activities and materials and will be able to create estimates and proposals for new work. We provide the proper tools and equipment needed for the job.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Relevant experience and references.
• Able to lift 50 LBS regularly.
• Be able to pass criminal background checks and pre-employment drug screens.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an irrigation technician.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an irrigation foreman.
• Minimum 5 years of industry-related (agricultural) experience.
• Must speak English (Spanish is a plus).

Nice To Haves

• Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose and fix irrigation systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and use a wire tracker.
• Perform wet checks and make sure the irrigation systems and different zones are up and running.
• Install, repair, and replace valves, irrigation pumps, timers, solenoids, pressure switches, main lines, laterals, sleeves, controllers, timers, rain sensors, etc.
• Install and maintain controllers, timers, and rain sensors.
• Delegating tasks, overseeing all irrigation projects, and supervising the crew members to ensure that projects are completed most efficiently.
• Guaranteeing all crew members always obey health and safety regulations.
• Must have a working knowledge of South Florida landscaping and the water needs of plant material, as well as recognize stressed landscapes as a result of water deficiencies.
• Ability to inspect properties and generate reports to ensure the proper communication of service needs as well as create estimates and selling of irrigation services.
• Must possess superb communication skills and must speak and present themselves professionally.
