Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with OUSD-Policy, Joint Staff, Combatant Commands, and Theater Special Operations Commands
  • Experience drafting materials for senior executive leadership, including read aheads and talking points for bilateral and multilateral international policy-level engagements
  • Experience with experimentation such as wargame planning or exercise planning
  • Knowledge of OUSD-Policy and Joint Staff processes and culture
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience preparing and briefing senior civilian and uniformed military leaders for their engagements
  • Experience serving as the lead action officer for trips accompanying senior leaders for international or domestic engagements
  • Experience with supporting Congressional engagements
  • Experience working with Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC)
  • Knowledge of DOW-level planning processes
  • Ability to advise executives on significant security cooperation initiatives
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Master's degree in International Relations or Political Science
