About The Position

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Electronic Warfare Engineer for the USAFWC Angry Kitten Electronic Attack Pod reprogramming, a multitasking, quick-paced, dynamic environment supporting Department of War Electronic Warfare test and training. This position will support our growing team at Nellis AFB, NV. Candidate will provide relevant Electronic Warfare (EW) engineering and data analysis expertise to support the Angry Kitten Electronic Warfare family of systems in integration with the United States Air Force Warfare Center (USAFWC) test and training activities. The candidate will develop, integrate, test, and deliver realistic threat training environments via mission data files required for effective operation of the Angry Kitten pod. The candidate will maintain up-to-date knowledge of both US and potential adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) to provide the most realistic training environments possible. The candidate will deliver the After Action Report (AAR) inputs to the test and training audience to assess the effectiveness of Electronic Attack (EA) and Electronic Protect (EP) techniques. Candidate will utilize their Electronic Warfare (EW) engineering experience and knowledge to provide programming techniques that support test and training objectives. The candidate will collect, document, and analyze data from EW source systems and victim systems to refine advanced techniques. The candidate will support the build and delivery of support materials for mission partner test and training planning, execution, debrief, and after-action reports. Candidate will operate in a fast-paced, dynamic, and decentralized Angry Kitten team. Clear and concise thinking and communication of ideas are key, as is fluid knowledge of the MS Office suite.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience on an engineering team
  • Knowledge and experience working with: RF spectrum, radar systems, electronic attack systems, electronic support systems, electronic protection, electromagnetic environment, military air and ground operations
  • Ability to effectively bridge thoughts and effectively articulate across engineering, operations, and management communities
  • Ability to work independently
  • TS with in-scope SSBI and SCI/SAP eligibility required.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience working with: Current DoD aircraft internally or externally mounted Electronic Warfare systems
  • Knowledge and experience working with: Fixed or mobile ground-based Electronic Warfare systems
  • Knowledge and experience working with: AESA radar systems
  • Knowledge and experience working with: Signal analysis, PDW analysis
  • Experience working on a flight line
  • Modeling EA algorithms and developing analytical tools and applications to support Mission Data development
  • Experience programming with MATLAB/Simulink, Python, VBA, and/or C++
  • Experience in the operation of test equipment to include Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators, and software-defined radios
