About The Position

Repcon seeks an Ironworker to perform industrial construction and maintenance work. The role requires knowledge of rigging, flame cutting, safe loads, basic hand signals, choker sizing, pneumatic tools, and basic steel erection, as well as awareness of fall-protection and prevention measures. Ironworkers erect and connect steel at and above grade elevations, use proper rigging techniques and crane hand signals, and assist other craft workers as needed. The position involves sustained standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting; work at heights, including up to 300 feet with proper fall protection; and working outdoors in varied weather conditions. Work periods may last up to 12 hours a day. Employees must use required personal protective equipment.

Requirements

Pass a REPCON Iron Worker Assessment.
Pass a REPCON Basic Rigging Assessment or hold NCCER certification.
Have a current Basic Orientation Plus (Safety Council card), or one that expires within three months.
Have a current TWIC Card.
Have three or more years of experience in the craft.
Demonstrate an industrial construction or maintenance work history and experience.
Comprehend and accurately interpret blueprints, construction drawings, technical manuals, and manufacturers’ manuals and instructions.
Have good problem-solving abilities and reading comprehension.
Be able to work with others as a team player and independently with minimal supervision.
Have good speaking and active-listening communication skills with coworkers and supervisors.
Have good manual dexterity for precision adjustments of machinery parts and controls.
Be capable of working outdoors in conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, and wind, and for periods up to 12 hours a day.
