About The Position

The Iron Worker is responsible for completing tasks related to structural iron and steel erection in a timely, quality manner while maintaining safety and productivity. The role involves assisting with work area layout, assembly, and installation of structural steel, which may include taking measurements, assisting with rigging setup, unloading, and shaking out material. The employee also installs safety lines and posts and helps clean and maintain a safe work area.

The work takes place in manufacturing, pipeline, and refining environments and may include repairing overhead bridge crane runway systems. The role may involve extreme hot or cold temperatures, limited working surfaces and visibility, noise above 85 decibels, and intense odors. Employees must comply with applicable safety regulations, PPE requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety policies.

Requirements

• GED or high school diploma.
• TWIC Card and/or Real ID.
• Ability to work at heights in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work from ladders and scaffolds.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks during long shifts.
• Math skills, including adding and subtracting fractions.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
