About the Position: Full-Time, Monday-Friday - Dayshift Support a comprehensive IR program with a strong focus on image-guided procedures and patient management Participate in multidisciplinary care coordination Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program recognized by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
- Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
- Active or eligible for Physician Assistant licensure in New York State
- 1+ years of experience in Interventional Radiology preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with and perform image-guided procedures, including: Paracentesis and thoracentesis Biopsies and drain placements Central line placements and vascular access procedures
- Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care, including evaluations, education, and follow up
- Monitor patients during procedures and manage any immediate complications
- Conduct patient assessments, including history and physical exams
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
- Work closely with Interventional Radiologists, nursing staff, and technologists
