About The Position

AFC Urgent Care is a leading Urgent Care brand with over 300 locations nationwide, dedicated to offering high-quality, patient-centered healthcare to communities. Their state-of-the-art Urgent Care centers specialize in the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries on a walk-in basis, seven days a week, with lab and x-rays available on-site. The company is seeking a Full-Time Physician Assistant to join their team in San Diego, California. AFC Urgent Care offers a stable and well-supported practice environment that is conducive to increasing a Physician Assistant's scope of practice. Scheduling options include 12 shifts monthly, typically 8am – 8pm, resulting in usually 2 – 3 workdays per week with 10 – 12-hour shifts. The position offers competitive pay with an hourly rate of $67-$73, along with additional bi-weekly bonuses based on patient volume thresholds.

Requirements

• An unrestricted medical license in California
• DEA Certificate
• Must be NCCPA Board Certified
• At least one year’s experience in an ER, Urgent Care or Primary Care setting
• Able to treat patients of all ages and be comfortable with minor procedures (e.g., suturing lacerations, draining abscesses, etc.)
• Available to workday, evening and weekend shifts
