About The Position

This is a Full-Time position, Monday-Friday - Dayshift, supporting a comprehensive IR program with a strong focus on image-guided procedures and patient management. The Physician Assistant will participate in multidisciplinary care coordination and contribute to quality improvement initiatives and program development.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program recognized by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)
  • Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
  • Active or eligible for Physician Assistant licensure in New York State

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of experience in Interventional Radiology preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist with and perform image-guided procedures, including: Paracentesis and thoracentesis, Biopsies and drain placements, Central line placements and vascular access procedures
  • Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care, including evaluations, education, and follow up
  • Monitor patients during procedures and manage any immediate complications
  • Conduct patient assessments, including history and physical exams
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Work closely with Interventional Radiologists, nursing staff, and technologists
