About The Position

The IPM Technician safely and accurately mixes, loads, and applies pesticides and fertilizers in accordance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Under the direction of the IPM Specialist, the technician applies liquid and granular products using boom sprayers, spot sprayers, and granular spreaders. The role also involves hand-pulling weeds, removing exotic plant species, and keeping the IPM facility and associated equipment clean and organized.

This is a physical, outdoor position involving extended periods of walking, standing, or stooping and work in all associated weather conditions. Employees must be able to follow oral and written instructions. The schedule is flexible and includes weekends and holidays; odd hours may be required in emergency situations. The position must comply with and support the Drug Free Workplace Policy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, and potentially odd hours during emergencies.
• Ability to perform physical work involving extended periods of walking, standing, or stooping, outdoors and in all associated weather conditions.
• Ability to follow oral and written directions and instructions.
• Must comply with and support the Drug Free Workplace Policy.

Responsibilities
