About The Position

The IPC Group Leader Trainee is responsible for demonstrating a positive role model for hourly associates to promote team goals. This role involves maintaining familiarity with all job duties and skill levels of team members, monitoring events that may affect team performance, and assessing and developing each team member's performance. The trainee will ensure compliance with all Company Policies and procedures, aligning leadership styles with SIA's Principles and values. Key responsibilities include planning, monitoring, and leading activities related to Safety, Quality, and productivity, interacting with the IPC engineering group, and working within established group budgets. The position also involves performing other duties as assigned by the Group Leader's Manager(s).

Requirements

  • Certificate/Associate Degree in Organizational Leadership or related field or willingness to enter a contract to obtain a certificate in OL (Minimum 25+ Credits) within two (2) years of start date, assigned by SIA.
  • 4+ years Supervisory/Leadership experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Must be willing to give and take direction.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and hold self and others accountable.
  • Demonstrate behaviors which require initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability to treat others with Dignity and Respect.
  • Ability to give presentation to officers of the company.
  • Ability to lead Kaizen/Continuous improvement activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in automotive manufacturing field with proven knowledge of equipment and process.
  • Associate's degree or above within manufacturing engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience within project management field.

  • Ensure compliance with all Company Policies and procedures and take appropriate corrective actions, if necessary.

  • Plans, monitors, and leads activities according to Plant and Section goals related to Safety, Quality, and productivity.
  • Interact and develop cooperation with the IPC engineering group.
  • Work within established group budget.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Group Leader's Manager(s).
