About The Position

The IoT Edge Software Engineer designs, develops, deploys, and maintains edge software components that securely and reliably integrate field-deployed dosimeter devices, gateways, and cloud environments. The role supports modernization of radiation exposure management through AWS Greengrass-based IoT gateway solutions, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device communication, and secure data transmission. The engineer develops and maintains software modules running on Linux-based gateway hardware, including device authentication, data encryption, remote firmware updates, and automated diagnostics. The role integrates with AWS IoT Core, MQTT messaging, and cloud services, and supports real-time and batch ingestion, device management, status monitoring, and disconnected operational scenarios with automated resynchronization. The engineer troubleshoots and optimizes edge-to-cloud workflows for performance, reliability, and security, ensuring software is auditable, maintainable, and compliant with cybersecurity and privacy requirements. The role collaborates with system architects, backend/API engineers, security and DevSecOps teams, and operational stakeholders. It also provides technical support for field deployment, user acceptance testing, and ongoing operations of edge solutions.
