IOP Program Therapist – Cleveland, MS
About The Position
Freedom Behavioral Hospital is seeking an IOP Program Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team in Cleveland, Mississippi. The therapist delivers behavioral health services in an outpatient Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), including group, individual, and family therapy, and supports patients through the continuum of care. The role contributes to treatment planning, case management, and discharge coordination to support positive clinical outcomes and patients’ successful reintegration into the community. The therapist collaborates with the multidisciplinary treatment team and maintains clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
- Current Mississippi licensure as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker), or LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor).
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of clinical experience in a behavioral health or psychiatric setting.
- Experience in IOP, inpatient psychiatric, or outpatient mental health programs.
- Strong group therapy facilitation and crisis intervention skills.
- Knowledge of discharge planning and community resource coordination.
Responsibilities
- Provide group, individual, and family therapy in an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans.
- Complete psychosocial assessments and clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Coordinate discharge planning and connect patients with appropriate community resources.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team, including physicians, nursing, and case management.
- Ensure compliance with CMS, Joint Commission (JCAHO), and facility policies.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the medical record.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and performance improvement initiatives.
