About The Position

The California Capital Finance team seeks an Invoicing Analyst to process invoices utilizing 3-way match verification and approve payments for construction, permitting, and engineering activities. This role requires understanding of field construction terminology and basic financial concepts. You'll become proficient with our rate card and its application for cost-plus quoting, using strong communication and reporting skills to keep all levels of the business informed. As an independent contributor, you'll validate invoices against work performed, analyze business performance, manage workloads, and provide financial data. Regular reports will be generated for senior management, regional management, and construction leadership to support business objectives. Requirements

  • Strong accounting and finance knowledge with experience in cash-based accounting.
  • Proficiency in invoice reconciliation processes, including the 3-way match.
  • Ability to interpret color-coded mapping systems.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a willingness to leverage the full capabilities of the Office 365 Suite.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills and the ability to utilize a variety of tools effectively, including (but not limited to) SQL, Tableau, Oracle Hyperion, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • 0-2 Years Relevant Work Experience

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with P2 (Salesforce) a plus.
  • Familiarity with construction practices and the cable industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Fusion is a strong asset.
  • Experience with AI tools and techniques for data analysis and decision-making preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Runs a variety of financial data, maintaining and updating financial models and plans.
  • Maintains and assists in designing financial reports.
  • Provides trend reporting and other analysis on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Perform additional Business Operations duties and tasks, as required.
  • Coordinates changes to existing reports or required submissions for new reports across departments.
  • Supports Finance department and Financial Analysts team which may include duties such as data entry, distributing reports and responding to other initial departmental requests.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

  • Identify potential challenges and roadblocks associated with invoicing, processes and develop and recommend effective solutions.
