The retention specialist is an entry level role that is responsible for managing a preassigned book of existing relationships and looking for ways to grow and retain the client base. This position is responsible for developing an understanding of every client or prospect's financial situation and making introductions to senior specialists and partners where suitable. The team works with Mass Affluent clients that have an existing investment relationship with First Citizens Investor Services (FCIS). Partners with internal lines of business to increase new business while serving clients' financial goals and needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1 years of experience in Registered Securities Representative OR High School Diploma or GED and 5 years of experience in Registered Securities Representative
  • Knowledge of investment and financial markets

Nice To Haves

  • Call Center and/or Client Service experience
  • Possess valid Series 7, 63, 65 or 66 licenses

Responsibilities

  • Promotes investment and securities products through sales outreach and calling efforts to mass affluent clients or prospects.
  • Consults with clients and prospects to determine their financial needs.
  • Provides a solution from the Bank's offered products, or refers them to banking partners as appropriate.
  • Facilitates client retention and satisfaction by ensuring timely processing of client requests, workflow, and communication.
  • Provides periodic reviews for clients and answers inquiries regarding their investments.
  • Ensures compliance throughout activities with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Establishes a rapport with clients to identify financial needs and leverage sales opportunities.
  • Serves as a relationship management point of contact for clients calling in.
  • Build rapport with internal centers of influence to source new client opportunities.
