About The Position

What is the opportunity? Join RBC Global Asset Management (GAM), a growing global asset management firm that offers investment capabilities to create customized client solutions through specialized investment teams supported by global resources. As an Investment Policy Analyst with GAM, you will assess, interpret, implement, and monitor client investment policies to ensure operational effectiveness. What will you do? Read and interpret investment policy statement (IPS) requirements, statutes, and laws; annotate IPS statements and translate into Charles River Investment Management System (CRD) or manual testing process Write tests in CRD ensuring rule construction are complete & accurate and adhere to quality review process Monitor and research policy alerts generated in CRD during pre-trade, post-trade, and batch compliance Work with internal teams, including client service, investment team, operations, compliance and legal to ensure open questions and issues are resolved Assist portfolio managers with trade issues relating to compliance issues, data exceptions, or processes What do you need to succeed? The expected salary range for this particular position is $55,000-$95,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs. You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related discipline
  • Ability to help streamline processes to improve efficiencies
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of fixed income securities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with an order management system; Charles River Investment Management System (IMS) preferred
  • Familiar with post/pre-trade monitoring of investment guidelines and relevant portfolio exposures using the Charles River IMS
