About The Position

Harvard Management Company (HMC), formed in 1974, manages Harvard University's endowment and related financial assets. HMC's mission is to help ensure the University has the resources to sustain and expand its leadership in teaching, learning, and research. Its investment operations teams provide expertise and services that support portfolio management and investment activities. The Investment Operations team ensures the timely and accurate processing of trades and maintenance of positions across the firm's direct public market investments. Working with a third-party fund administrator, the team oversees post-trade processing and recordkeeping for transactions executed by HMC's trading desk. Daily activity includes trade confirmation and settlement, reconciliation, collateral management, review, and analysis. The team performs daily cash, position, and pricing reconciliations, as well as month-end NAV reconciliations, to align HMC's books with external parties. It also manages treasury operations and portfolio cash management, including cash flows related to external funds and private investments. HMC is seeking a motivated self-starter with strong reconciliation experience and an interest in developing across investment operations. The role is hybrid, with employees in the office Tuesday through Thursday and remote on other days. The position is classified as non-exempt under the FLSA. HMC will not sponsor work visas for this position.
