About The Position
Starr Insurance is seeking an FP&A and Reporting Manager to support the Global Investment Office. The position is based in Starr’s New York office and reports to the Director of Investment Operations. The role oversees investment reporting, contributes to detailed net investment income reporting, analyzes investment data, supports system integrations, and assists with ad hoc investment operations projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance.
- 7 to 10 years of experience within an investment reporting function at an insurance company or large institution.
- Experience training and managing junior staff members.
- Comfort managing projects that span multiple business units.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with effective communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Power BI; it is positive but not required.
- Experience with Clearwater Analytics and FactSet Research Systems.
Responsibilities
- Oversee weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting deliverables, including asset allocation summaries, portfolio performance reviews, cash flow projections from operations and investments, and Investment Committee materials.
- Coordinate detailed net investment income reporting with FP&A, Risk/Actuary, Portfolio Managers, and the Treasury Department.
- Analyze large, complex data sets to identify key trends, risks, and performance drivers.
- Contribute to new system integrations through data validation and custom reporting designs.
- Support ad hoc investment operations projects.
- Train and manage junior staff members.
