About The Position

This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and providing operational and administrative support for high-level, complex investment projects and the daily operations of the Office of Investments Department. The role involves researching and compiling information, designing and composing concepts/ideas for annual reports and printing materials for annual meetings, and coordinating departmental project activities and events. The Investment Office Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for the Office of Investments, representing it professionally to senior professionals outside of The Salvation Army. This role also assists the Director, Office of Investments, by researching policy, investment guidelines, past directives, or current practices to respond to policy questions or requests for direction from various entities.

Requirements

  • Two years of coursework from an accredited college or university, AND Three years of progressively responsible experience working in a general office with at least one year performing work related to the Office of Investments, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison for other departments and/or other divisions seeking information or services from the Director, Office of Investments; responds to questions, researches and provides specific and general information based on the knowledge of the department operations; ensures the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all information provided; maintains the confidential nature of the position.
  • Relieves the Director, Office of Investments, the Senior Investment Portfolio Manager & Analyst, and the Investment Operations Manager of the administrative details associated with their positions as members of the Investment Advisory Boards.
  • Collects, researches, and prepares Investment Advisory Board agenda items throughout the quarter; researches information from the investment strategy meeting, the department investment personnel, the investment managers, and other outside data to prepare items for the agenda and creates a PowerPoint presentation; maintains a list of actionable items from the meetings and follows through for the quarter to ensure completion.
  • Plans, coordinates, and provides operational and administrative support for high-level, complex investment projects and the daily operations of the Office of Investments Department.
  • Researches and compiles information, designs and composes concepts/ideas for annual reports and printing materials for annual meetings, and coordinates departmental project activities and events.
  • Serves as the face of the Office of Investments; represents the Office of Investments in a professional manner to senior professionals outside of The Salvation Army.
  • Assists the Director, Office of Investments, by researching policy, investment guidelines, past directives, or current practices to respond to policy questions or requests for direction from the divisions, other departments at Territorial Headquarters, or outside entities.
