About The Position
This remote independent-contractor consulting opportunity is for experienced investment and finance professionals contributing to an advanced AI training and financial reasoning project. Selected professionals will evaluate AI systems’ handling of valuation, markets, financial analysis, and investment decision-making, and create high-quality reference materials grounded in practical transaction experience. The work requires strong financial judgment, rigorous analytical thinking, and the ability to identify unrealistic assumptions or weak reasoning in complex finance scenarios. Assignments may include evaluating financial models, valuations, investment opportunities, diligence scenarios, capital-markets reasoning, and AI-generated responses; creating expert prompts and reference answers; and providing structured, actionable feedback. Scope, workload, and evaluation standards may evolve with project requirements. Work must not use confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, fund, portfolio company, institution, or other third party. Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience at a well-known financial institution, investment firm, or legitimate startup.
- At least part of the relevant experience gained within approximately the past 7 years.
- Strong financial modelling and valuation skills.
- Practical experience with investment analysis, due diligence, or transaction work.
- Strong understanding of capital markets and financial-analysis principles.
- Excellent written English and the ability to explain financial reasoning clearly.
- Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
- Real-world finance and transaction experience relevant to the engagement.

- Based in an English-speaking country.
- Relevant background in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, growth equity, or a closely related finance role.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate AI-generated outputs involving financial modelling, valuation, and investment analysis for technical accuracy.
- Review assumptions, methodologies, calculations, and conclusions, and assess whether valuation approaches fit the company, transaction, or market context.
- Identify unrealistic assumptions, weak logic, unsupported conclusions, diligence gaps, risks, and material considerations.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, company performance, transaction dynamics, and financial or operational information from an investor or deal-team perspective.
- Assess AI reasoning about capital markets, financing, capital structure, returns, risk, and market conditions; compare analytical approaches and explain trade-offs.
- Create expert-level prompts based on realistic investment, valuation, and deal scenarios.
- Develop technically rigorous, realistic, and reproducible reference answers, clearly documenting assumptions and analytical reasoning.
- Provide concise, actionable feedback on errors, incomplete analysis, weak reasoning, and improvements to AI-generated responses.
- Distinguish superficial financial reasoning from sound analysis and help maintain consistent evaluation standards across scenarios.
- Contribute observations to improve model behavior across finance-related tasks.
- Complete work without using confidential or proprietary information belonging to any third party.
