About The Position

This remote independent-contractor consulting engagement supports an advanced AI training and business reasoning project. The consultant will evaluate how AI systems handle complex business and consulting-style problems, develop rigorous prompts and reference answers, and provide structured feedback on reasoning quality. The work calls for sound consulting judgment, analytical discipline, clear synthesis, and the ability to identify gaps in logic, assumptions, and recommendations. Assignments may cover business strategy, operations, growth, market analysis, financial reasoning, business analysis, and stakeholder-related scenarios. The consultant will assess AI-generated work against evidence and professional consulting standards, write realistic business scenarios and reference answers, and adapt to evolving project scope, workload, guidelines, and evaluation standards. Work must not use confidential or proprietary information belonging to an employer, client, consulting firm, institution, or other third party. The opportunity is available through 24-MAG LLC, which connects experienced professionals with remote consulting opportunities. Compensation is $245–$280 per hour.

Requirements

At least 1 year of experience at a top-tier or highly regarded management consulting firm, such as McKinsey, Bain, BCG, Strategy&, L.E.K., Oliver Wyman, or a comparable organization.
At least part of the relevant consulting experience should have been gained within approximately the past 7 years.
Strong expertise in structured problem solving and business analysis.
Practical experience with strategy development, market research, and financial analysis.
Strong stakeholder-management and client-communication skills.
Excellent business writing and the ability to communicate complex reasoning concisely.
Strong analytical judgment and the ability to synthesize large amounts of information.
Excellent written English.

Nice To Haves

Undergraduate degree from a highly ranked university.
Candidates based in English-speaking countries are preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate AI-generated responses to complex business strategy and consulting-style problems.
Apply structured problem-solving approaches to ambiguous commercial scenarios and assess whether recommendations are supported by evidence.
Identify missing considerations, weak assumptions, incomplete analyses, and gaps in logic.
Analyze business scenarios using qualitative and quantitative information, including market research, competitive dynamics, customer considerations, financial evidence, and operational evidence.
Distinguish material business drivers from lower-impact factors and synthesize findings into decision-relevant conclusions.
Write high-quality prompts based on realistic consulting and business scenarios.
Develop reference answers that reflect professional consulting standards and use clear hypotheses, analysis, and recommendations.
Create challenging tasks that meaningfully test advanced business judgment.
Assess the quality, structure, and completeness of AI-generated reasoning and identify analytical gaps and logical inconsistencies.
Provide detailed written feedback explaining how responses can be improved.
Maintain consistent evaluation standards across business and strategy scenarios.
Collaborate with project stakeholders as evaluation criteria and guidelines evolve; incorporate feedback into subsequent work.
Adapt to new business scenarios and analytical requirements, and communicate clearly about ambiguous or complex cases.
Complete work without using confidential or proprietary third-party information.
