We are currently seeking an Investment Banking Associate to join our Consumer team in Charlotte, NC or San Francisco, CA. This role is a generalist position with potential exposure to various consumer verticals. This associate position offers a unique opportunity for professionals to play a meaningful role in the firm's continued growth while gaining significant experience in M&A, debt, equity, and equity-linked transactions. The investment banking group partners with corporate clients and financial sponsors to provide advisory and financing services related to mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt capital markets, private placements, restructuring, and corporate & venture services, offering in-depth knowledge and industry relationships across core sectors.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Investment Banking experience and prior work experience involving financial analysis or transaction execution
  • Degree in finance, business, management plus other related degrees
  • Exceptional work ethic and a high level of enthusiasm, initiative, and leadership potential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop trust with clients and internal partners
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and financial modeling
  • Motivated, team player with an interest and ability to learn in an energetic and challenging environment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare valuations
  • Write memorandums for company sale assignments and private placements
  • Prepare M&A analyses
  • Participate in due diligence and drafting sessions for public offerings
  • Structure and execute transactions
  • Function as a backup for relationships with important clients
  • Serve as the key contact for some clients
  • Begin to assume some important new business responsibilities
