About The Position
Join William Blair, the Premier Global Partnership, as a 2027 Investment Banking Full-Time Analyst in Los Angeles. This role focuses on providing technology solutions and vision for future opportunities. You will execute in-depth analyses to support new business development, transaction execution, and the delivery of investment banking products and services. Responsibilities include performing research and financial modeling, applying core valuation methods, and completing due diligence under the guidance of the Investment Banking team lead. You will also work closely with client staff to advance projects, gather information, explain financial modeling methodology, and present findings. Additionally, you will provide training and mentorship to summer interns and less experienced Analysts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required with an anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
- Proven track record in university studies required
- SIE Exam, prior to beginning employment, and Series 79 and Series 63 within 90 days of employment
- Detail oriented with strong analytical abilities
- Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal and computer skills
- Ability to adapt to new tasks with little notice
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong desire to win
- Developing increasingly sound judgement
- Thorough understanding of accounting and finance
- Commitment to satisfying internal and external customers

Responsibilities
- Perform extensive financial/valuation analyses to value debt and equity for mergers, acquisitions and capital raising transactions.
- Build financial models to value potential and actual clients and/or industries, executing core valuation methods such as comparable companies, precedents, and discounted cash flow.
- Perform due diligence, research, analysis, and documentation of potential and live transactions, identifying and escalating potential deal issues.
- Draft management presentations to highlight financial analysis and research results.
- Assist in the development, production, and delivery of proposals and presentations to clients and prospects, drafting marketing materials.
- Participate in client meetings and drafting sessions.
- Research industries or sectors to target certain clients or industries, evaluating and improving BIC content, and leveraging learnings across deals.
- Seek opportunities to streamline processes and propose solutions to complete tasks more efficiently.
- Support client relationship development by understanding client needs, providing responsive service, and anticipating information needs.
- Develop an understanding of macro factors related to client industry, investment banking products, and potential implications.
- Mentor summer interns and invest in teaching subsequent classes of analysts, imparting best practices.
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
