About The Position

Santander US Corporate & Investment Banking (Santander CIB) is seeking talented individuals for its 2027 Investment Banking Summer Associate Program. This program is designed for MBA students with an expected graduation date of May/June 2028. Participants will work in Los Angeles alongside experienced professionals, developing essential technical, leadership, and interpersonal skills for a career in investment banking. The program offers comprehensive training and hands-on experience, emphasizing teamwork, partnership, and client-centric strategies. Santander CIB focuses on providing strategic advice, capital raising, and transaction execution to corporate clients, helping them grow, innovate, and manage risks in complex global markets. The program aims to equip participants with the skills to become thoughtful, strategic advisors, understanding client service and building long-term relationships.

Requirements

• Master of Business Administration (MBA) students with an expected graduation date of May/June 2028.
• 3+ years of prior work experience.
• Highly motivated and results-oriented, with a desire to exceed expectations.
• Demonstrated intellectual curiosity and courage in leadership.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to develop solutions to complex challenges.
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
• Ability to work independently on special projects.
• Ability to effectively contribute in a team environment.

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring employer sponsorship to commence employment.
