About The Position

The Investment Associate will work directly alongside an Industry Analyst in an industry-focused team responsible for evaluating investments in companies globally. Dodge & Cox targets candidates with high levels of academic and professional achievement and leadership ability. Requirements

• One to two years of related work experience or an undergraduate experience that demonstrates exceptional potential
• B.A. or B.S. degree and an excellent academic record
• Basic accounting knowledge; coursework in economics and statistics is a plus
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including experience with financial modeling
• Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Coursework or demonstrated experience in corporate finance or valuation is a plus
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot) and willingness to apply them to research workflows

Responsibilities

• Researching, analyzing, and performing due diligence on potential investments
• Monitoring portfolio investments, competitors, and industry developments
• Building and maintaining financial and valuation models
• Engaging with company management teams, industry experts, and sell-side analysts
• Creating investment-related presentation materials
