About The Position

General Atlantic’s Analysts are the foundation of our deal teams. We encourage them to bring an ambitious mindset as they gain exposure to the full investment lifecycle. As an Analyst, you will spend 2 years working closely with our deal teams and significantly support our new investment opportunities by prospecting, conducting thematic research and supporting due diligence and deal execution efforts across all our main sectors. Successful analysts will be considered for relevant Associate roles to continue their careers at GA.

Requirements

  • Students graduating in Winter 2026 or Spring 2027
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate institution in the US.
  • Proven academic and professional excellence demonstrating drive and curiosity
  • Strong understanding of financial modeling, and sound analytical skills with the ability to build and interpret complex financial models independently
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and business fundamentals
  • Passionate about identifying and supporting transformational, high-growth companies
  • Energetic, inquisitive, and entrepreneurial global mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to communicate insights clearly and effectively.
  • Creative and solutions-oriented thinker with strong business judgment and professional maturity.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, comfortable engaging with senior executives and entrepreneurs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop investment theses and industry expertise through research, conversations with industry experts, market mapping, and due diligence on specific investment targets
  • Provide investment sourcing, support quantitative and qualitative analysis, interact directly with entrepreneurs and management team
  • Gain exposure to multiple diligence workstreams—including financial analysis, customer research, valuation, and competitive benchmarking across the full investment lifecycle.
  • Perform proprietary research and analysis through calls and meetings with key industry participants, customers, and advisors to inform investment perspectives.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses to support investment due diligence and portfolio value creation.
  • Contribute to investment memoranda and materials for Investment Committee.
