About The Position

The Investment Analyst supports the Investment Team in developing and implementing customized investment solutions for prospects and clients. The role is central to investment proposal development, portfolio analysis, portfolio construction, transition planning, and the execution of private-alternative investments. The Analyst partners closely with client-facing teams, applies sound investment judgment, and uses AI and other technology to improve the efficiency and consistency of repeatable work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 2 – 4 years in an analytical role (preferably in a financial firm, wealth management, or investment adviser).
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with an interest in developing expertise in portfolio construction and investment implementation.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive workflows accurately.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, particularly in explaining investment concepts to internal partners and client-facing teams.
  • Demonstrated interest in using AI and other technology to improve processes and productivity.

Nice To Haves

  • CFA designation or interest in pursuing the CFA designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and review of customized investment proposals, including analysis of existing portfolios, construction of proposed portfolios, and preparation of specific transition plans aligned with each prospect's or client's objectives.
  • Executes the day-to-day administration of private-alternative investments, including re-registrations, subscriptions, tenders, trade-ticket processing, and coordination with internal teams, custodians, fund sponsors, and platforms such as CAIS.
  • Partners with wealth advisors and other field professionals to provide technical investment support on portfolio matters, including private alternatives and tax-managed solutions, and to communicate investment strategies and market perspectives clearly.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities to use AI and other technology to streamline repeatable work, reduce manual data entry, improve turnaround times, and strengthen the consistency of investment processes while maintaining appropriate review and investment judgment.
  • Conducts investment research and analysis and contributes to portfolio construction decisions across client portfolios.
  • Contributes to manager due diligence, including ongoing monitoring of managers on the approved list and evaluation of potential new solutions.
  • Develops investment updates, analytical materials, and strategy discussions that support client engagement and business-development efforts.
  • Creates and maintains investment-analysis frameworks, process documentation, and other resources that promote consistent portfolio-management practices.
  • Collaborates with client-facing teams to ensure investment recommendations align with client objectives, risk parameters, tax considerations, liquidity needs, and implementation requirements.
  • Contributes to the continued advancement of the investment practice through research, analysis, process improvement, and implementation of best practices.
