About The Position

Realized Holdings, Inc. is hiring an Investment Analyst for its Research team. The role may be based in Austin, Texas, or remote, and reports to the VP of Research. The analyst underwrites and diligences tax-advantaged private placement real estate offerings, including Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs), UPREITs, Qualified Opportunity Zone investments, and various fund structures. The analyst works directly with senior leadership and explains financial analyses to the Due Diligence Committee and sales team. Prior experience with these specific investment structures is not required. The role includes modeling and evaluating commercial real estate investments, reviewing offering and third-party diligence materials, supporting sales, and contributing to internal data and analytics tools. The analyst will use AI-assisted tools for document review and data extraction while checking results against source documents, and will track relevant real estate, capital markets, and private placement products. Over time, the analyst is expected to take ownership of complex transactions and make recommendations to management, with an internal path for advancement. This is a full-time, exempt position with base salary, bonus, and benefits. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
0 to 3 years of experience in financial analysis, underwriting, acquisitions, asset management, lending, or a similar role.
Strong financial modeling skills, including cash flow analysis, return metrics, and layered debt and equity structures.
Advanced Excel skills and comfort creating presentation-ready output in PowerPoint.
Clear writing skills and the ability to explain technical conclusions to a skeptical audience.
Good judgment when handling confidential information and the discipline to manage several workstreams at once.

Nice To Haves

ARGUS experience.
Commercial real estate, commercial mortgage, or real estate private equity background.
Working knowledge of real estate taxation, including 1031 exchange mechanics.

Responsibilities

Underwrite and model commercial real estate investments, including market analysis, historical performance, cash flow projections, and debt and equity structures.
Build new financial models when existing models are insufficient.
Review offering materials and third-party diligence, including appraisals, environmental and property condition reports, and lender and sponsor documents.
Challenge sponsor assumptions and present findings to the Due Diligence Committee and sales team.
Support the sales team as a subject matter expert on internal calls and help prepare presentations and written materials.
Contribute to internal data and analytics tool development with the Development team, including documenting requirements and testing releases as needed.
Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate document review and data extraction, and verify outputs against source documents.
Monitor the competitive landscape across real estate, capital markets, and private placement products, and conduct ad hoc research.
Over time, own complex transactions from initial review through recommendations to management.
