About The Position

The Investment Analyst Intern supports JM Family’s investment team in managing its Corporate, Insurance, Pension, 401k, and Treasury investment portfolios. The role assists with investment-manager oversight and analysis, reporting, audit support, portfolio rebalancing, cash forecasting, committee documentation, and SharePoint maintenance.

This is a full-time position expected to be performed in the office in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Candidates must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree-seeking program focused on a relevant field. The job description may be amended at JM Family’s discretion, and work arrangements may be revised based on associate performance, business needs, and manager discretion.

Requirements

• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team while managing changing priorities and deadlines.
• Quality-oriented with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s, master’s, or other degree-seeking program focused on a relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, evaluate, and analyze current investment managers’ performance and investment strategies.
• Assist with evaluating potential new investments.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly investment performance reports and other related project work.
• Perform periodic reconciliations among custodians, internal systems, and external managers.
• Attend and participate in meetings with third-party asset managers.
• Coordinate regular meetings with the investment firm’s management team.
• Prepare quarterly investment performance reports for investment committees.
• Support the annual audit, portfolio rebalancing, and cash forecasting.
• Prepare minutes for committee meetings.
• Maintain the investment manager filing system and document-retention initiatives.
• Maintain SharePoint.
