The Arizona Department of Gaming (ADG) regulates tribal gaming, event wagering, fantasy sports, horse racing and pari-mutuel/simulcast wagering, and unarmed combat sports; investigates illegal off-reservation activities; and provides and supports prevention, education, and treatment programs for people and families affected by problem gambling through its Division of Problem Gambling (DPG). This non-sworn Investigator conducts complex regulatory investigations for State Certification, Tribal Licensure Recommendation, and Event Wagering/Fantasy Sports licensure. Duties include background checks, applicant interviews, public record review, securing evidence, and preparing detailed reports with issuance, denial, revocation, or suspension recommendations. This position requires coordination with management and the Attorney General's staff, potential case referrals for prosecution, and testimony. The Investigator may also perform special investigations. This position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department's business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures.
