About The Position

An IMRL (Individual Material Readiness List) Tool Room Attendant works directly on the tool room floor, executing the daily operations of issuing, receiving, and tracking specialized aviation support equipment and tools. Reporting to the site lead, this hands-on role focuses on accountability, safety compliance, and immediate support for aircraft maintenance crews.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 2 years of experience in a warehouse, tool room, or mechanical inventory environment (military aviation experience is highly valued).
• Strong attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and familiarity with standard hand tools.
• Requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to pass customer background check.
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk across hangar floors, and lift toolboxes or equipment weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Communication Skills - Ability to communicate with all levels of Leadec and customer employees.
• Language Ability -- Talking to others to convey information effectively.
• Experience with CMMS (Maximo), with a focus on procurement.
• Microsoft Office Suites (excel, word & PowerPoint).
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Procedural Compliance.
• Be able to work flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
• Works safely at all times.
• Check out and check in specialized aviation tools, test equipment, and hand tools for maintenance technicians.
• Conduct morning, shift-change, and evening inventory counts of all individual assets to ensure 100% accountability.
• Enforce strict Foreign Object Damage (FOD) protocols by immediately reporting any missing tools and initiating localized search procedures.
• Inspect returning tools for wear, damage, or cleanliness before placing them back into storage locations.
• Update local inventory logs and tracking software whenever tools are issued, returned, or flagged for maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe tool room environment by properly storing assets and applying protective coatings against corrosion.
• Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
• All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.
