About The Position

Southern Industrial Constructors, Inc. seeks a Tool Room Attendant to work on a project in Clayton, NC. The company performs installation, rigging, millwrighting, and maintenance for manufacturing and industrial markets across the Southeast.

Requirements

Skilled in both written and verbal communication.
Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.
Observe SIC and Customer safety and quality processes and procedures at all times.
Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.
Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, wharves, rooftops and other elevated positions, as well as, confined spaces.
Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.
Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.
Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, in personnel lifts, in workboats, and working in awkward body positions.

Responsibilities

Locating, receiving, stocking, and issuing tools.
Maintaining the tool room in a neat and orderly manner.
Delivering packages to recipients daily.
Assisting in cleaning of the shop or elsewhere as needed.
Operating forklift(s) or driving company vehicles as needed to complete daily tasks.
Assisting co-workers with tooling needs and answering questions regarding inventory.
Checking all tools for any defects before the items are sent out to the jobsite.
Returning tooling to assigned tool room locations once items are returned to shop.
Maintaining the lawn around the Raleigh office building.
Assisting tool room supervisor with day to day duties of the tool room.
Performing other duties as required.
