Inventory Supervisor

About The Position

The Inventory Supervisor is responsible for warehouse inventory control processes and accurate records management in accordance with company policies. The role leads and assists with physical counts and inventory reconciliation, researches discrepancies, and ensures required documentation and processes are completed, reviewed, and filed. The supervisor analyzes inventory information to identify trends and process impacts, communicates findings and improvement opportunities, and trains, leads, and motivates personnel to improve results and processes. The position also supports teammate development through on-the-job coaching and training, and carries out other tasks as directed by leadership.

Requirements

3–5 years of experience in inventory management and logistics.
1–3 years of experience leading teams, managing warehouse operations, and using inventory software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field of study is preferred.
Experience using SAP and Smartsheet.

Responsibilities

Lead, assist, and direct physical-count activities to ensure accurate inventory levels.
Assist in researching inventory discrepancies and ensure they are resolved when possible.
Ensure required inventory documentation and processes are completed, reviewed, and filed appropriately.
Analyze inventory information to identify trends and processes affecting inventory control, and communicate findings.
Train and lead personnel and evaluate processes for continuous improvement.
Support, lead, and motivate a team by communicating company goals, safety practices, and deadlines.
Communicate identified process improvements to warehouse management, operations, and other departments.
Develop teammates through effective on-the-job coaching and training.
Complete other tasks as instructed by leadership.
