About The Position

The Inventory Specialist oversees total inventory levels in the warehouse and maintains accurate records of all transactions during daily operations. Key duties include managing inbound shipments and supplies, tracking and analyzing inventory transactions, and developing protocols to resolve discrepancies. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and proficiency in inventory systems, including Microsoft Excel.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree
  • 6 years of direct warehouse operations experience
  • 2 years of indirect warehouse operations experience

  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and collaborate
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, basic formulas)

Responsibilities

  • Generate regular reports on inventory performance, discrepancies, and key metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize material flow and reduce excess or obsolete inventory
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities
  • Conduct regular physical inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure data accuracy
  • Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions and audit results
  • Lift or move boxes as needed
  • Conduct additional physical counts for high-critical items as requested by HMGMA
