About The Position

The Inventory Specialist supports Training and Inventory Specialist activities for MRO operations at BMW Manufacturing. The role is responsible for teaching operational curriculum to new associates and managing inventory. It is an individual-contributor position that works directly with operational leadership and has no direct reports. The position follows a Monday–Friday schedule, with the employee required to work one of these shifts: 7:00 PM–3:00 AM, 8:00 PM–4:00 AM, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM, or 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or six to twelve months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain a forklift license.
Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Skills in problem solving, technical learning, customer service, interpersonal communication, oral and written communication, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Train Hall Attendants in storeroom operations, SAP/WMS systems, put-away processes, cycle counts, order requisitions, and goods issuing.
Escalate additional training needs to management.
Manage inventory and verify parts.
Conduct audits as requested by management.
Prepare and submit reports and KPIs as assigned by management.
Investigate issues with goods movements.
Ensure compliance with the safety program.
Resolve dashboard exceptions.
Validate put-away accuracy.
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
