Inventory Specialist Full-Time NEW ORLEANS, LA
About The Position
The Inventory Specialist partners with the customer at Tulane University in New Orleans to provide Grainger inventory management services aligned with Grainger or the customer's internal processes. This role works as a dedicated customer service resource at the customer's site and manages indirect inventory at that location. In addition to standard KeepStock services, responsibilities may include managing Grainger and non-Grainger inventory within a customer tool crib using Grainger or customer-specific software and processes. The position reports directly to the Manager, Onsite Services.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 3 years of experience in a related field or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 25 to 60 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage and stock the customer's Grainger and non-Grainger inventory through KeepStock programs and crib management.
- Support the customer's inventory management and product procurement processes by managing the daily integration of indirect inventory into the customer's product processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly resolving problems in a manner that retains and promotes customer loyalty.
- Perform product search and selection activity directly with customer end users in-house.
- Provide quotes based on customer requests.
- Provide specialized reports requested by the customer.
