A member of the Warehouse Department, a food service division at Lyons Magnus, an international food and beverage manufacturer headquartered in Fresno, California. The Inventory Specialist I is responsible for adjusting and maintaining inventory accuracy for raw materials and finished goods. Specialists will also occasionally operate forklifts and retrieve & provide samples as requested. Additional duties may be as assigned as needed. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Warehouse Operations.

Requirements

Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Radio Frequency (RF) experience.
Strong mathematical ability.
Professional communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to work well with computers, notebooks and maintain databases effectively.
Multi-tasking and strong attention to detail.
High School Diploma or equivalency.
0-2 years relative work experience.

Nice To Haves

Willingness to learn how to operate a forklift.
Forklift experience.
Strict adherence to the Lyons Magnus attendance policy.

Investigate and correct inventory introduction, shipping and receiving errors.
Learn RAF and restock processes.
Identify issues as well as opportunities for improvement related to inventory or processes.
Work to resolve inventory discrepancies by escalating communication to inventory control supervision for review.
Review weekly HRR with inventory supervision to assure items are moved from live inventory and placed in designated locations.
Register inbound cargo and monitor inbound/outbound trailer and seal inspection procedures.
Learn to operate forklift equipment to help with efficiency.
Retrieve and provide samples when requested.
Learn and understand conversion rates and date codes.
Demonstrate professionalism, particularly when collaborating with customers and other departments within the company.
Partner with the company’s procurement, receiving and production departments to ensure that all items for work orders are accounted for and available.
Plan and complete assigned tasks within the deadlines.
