Inventory Solutions Manager

Impel•Remote,

About The Position

Impel is seeking an Inventory Solutions Manager to ensure dealer inventory is displayed correctly across sites, from a dealer’s first day live onward. The role supports complex launches, troubleshoots live accounts, and designs inventory solutions, working closely with Implementation and Support. It also involves direct coordination with inventory feed providers, website providers, and other third parties, and ownership of escalations and quality assurance through resolution.

Requirements

  • Hands-on automotive experience at an inventory feed provider or dealer website provider.
  • About 6–9 years of relevant experience, including ownership of complex inventory issues.
  • Working knowledge of how inventory moves from a DMS to a feed provider to a website, and where it can break.
  • Ability to review feeds in FTP/SFTP, CSV, XML, or Excel formats and quickly identify problems.
  • Experience managing escalations and communicating status to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Existing contacts at inventory partners, or the ability to build them quickly.
  • Calmness under pressure, thorough follow-through, and comfort owning problems that cross teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Implementation, onboarding, or support experience.
  • Experience designing solutions for multi-rooftop dealer groups.
  • Comfort with ticketing tools and basic reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Review inventory requirements and work with Implementation to design feed and display approaches for complex launches.
  • Confirm the feed source, partner activation, and first successful sync before go-live; identify blockers early.
  • Diagnose missing, stale, or inaccurate inventory across feeds, providers, and Impel’s platform.
  • Own Support escalations through resolution and maintain a current log of open blocks, their age, and customer impact.
  • Hold weekly or more frequent status meetings with inventory partners to review blocks and risks, and build strong relationships with feed and website providers.
  • Review feeds for accuracy and completeness, including pricing, photos, and vehicle data; identify recurring patterns and recommend process or product fixes.
  • Help Implementation, Support, and CSMs interpret inventory behavior, and maintain playbooks and escalation paths for common issues.
