About The Position

The Inventory Solutions Associate serves as a liaison between the organization and customers using provided solutions. The role maintains the day-to-day functions of a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) site located within a client’s facility. Under general supervision, the associate follows well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques, with work regularly reviewed by a senior coworker or supervisor. Complex or unusual problems are referred to a supervisor. The role typically involves less than 10% overnight travel.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training or certification may be required.
• Generally, 2–5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for periods of up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Ability to perform repetitive movements, such as using a 10-key or calculator, bending, or squatting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customers’ daily replenishment orders.
• Receive daily replenishment and branch transfers to maintain accurate inventory.
• Complete control reports at the intervals specified in the operations manual.
• Monitor and adjust minimum and maximum inventory parameters to maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Recognize and communicate relevant market and customer business conditions to stakeholders.
• Engage with customers about product stocking levels, assortment, and seasonal fluctuations to help prevent outages.
• Monitor inventory and maintain regional items as necessary.
