About The Position

Join our Supply Chain team as an Inventory & Returns Specialist and play a critical role in keeping operations running smoothly. You'll ensure inventory accuracy, analyze and resolve discrepancies, manage product returns, and collaborate across departments to support business success. The Inventory & Returns Specialist has the primary responsibility of increasing and maintaining company profitability by maintaining accurate inventory levels while ensuring that optimal inventory is present and ready for use. In addition, this position ensures the returns process is executed timely and consistent with the Company’s plan. This position will assess returns and move product; and will effectively track, report and communicate with all Departments, Claims/Returns Customer Partner Associate, and Distribution Center (DC) to achieve optimal results. The ideal candidate will have well-developed analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to work with a minimal amount of supervision. Additionally, she/he must be able to provide a strategic and forward-thinking vision to manage inventory.

  • Minimum of a high school education or GED equivalent
  • Proven experience in Receiving and Quality Assurance

Responsibilities

  • Develop a model to manage and maintain appropriate stock levels to support inventory turns, business seasonality, and promotions
  • Ensure that Inventory Counts and Cycle Counts are completed and adjusted in the ERP system daily.
  • Investigate reporting discrepancies and communicate issues, effectively and in a timely manner
  • Trains other employees in cycle counting and inventory control
  • Support business processes by partnering with other departments, including but not limited to Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, Sales, etc. to proactively improve the accuracy and effectiveness of inventory forecasting.
  • Reviews and analyzes inventory shortage issues and provides data to determine the cause
  • Preparation of ad-hoc analyses and reports as required by management
  • Inspect returned product to determine damages, used product, and if product is in good condition
  • Ensure returned item matches the Return Material (RM) created by the Claims/Returns Customer Partner Associate, in item and quantity
  • Communicate effectively to other departments with findings on returned product which will include tracking and reporting in the Acumatica ERP system
  • Physically and electronically transfer returned product to correct DC via an Acumatica RMA to ensure accurate inventory
  • Complete RM’s in the Acumatica System
  • Cooperate fully with all company policies and procedures both verbal and written
  • Able to become certified on all necessary material moving equipment
  • Operate all material-moving equipment needed to complete the job
  • Assist with returns or material handling when needed
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
